ANNUAL REPORT 2019-2020

A very good evening and a happy new year to all. I heartly welcome you for
the fourth Annual Gathering Aadhar 2020. We are honoured to have
honourable Chief Guest Shri K N Gangadhar District Judge Hubballi.
President of DVEA Trust Prof. G V Valasang Sir, Chairman,Secretary Prof.
Mahesh H Dyavappanavar Sir Vice-Principal Mrs. Roopa R Pai and
President of student Council Miss Bhumi Bankapur.
A P J Abdul Kalam rightly said “Ultimately, education in its real
sense is the pursuit of truth. It is an endless journey through
knowledge and enlightenment."with the same ideology we started our
journey in the year 2016 with the enrolment of 470 students from Nursery
to Grade V and now we have more than 1000 students.
I would like to thank our Management, teaching and Non Teaching Staff,
attenders, Canteen in charge, drivers & conductors of our school buses,
security who have worked persistently in making our school a quality
learning institution with all the facilities required to create a conducive
ambience for the students and teachers in the pursuit of high standards in
academics and overall development of the students.

The school, has developed a strong reputation in educational field by
focusing on quality teaching & learning.
- We are proud at the striking achievement of Chaitanyya Shetty and
Vineet Hiremani students of class 10 State Board who have won First
Place in State Level Quiz Competition conducted by Zilla Panchayat and
Walnut Solutions, Bengaluru.
- Aparna Mulagund of Chetan PU College secured fourth Rank to the
State and also is District Topper in PUC II year 2019. Shipa Devaramani
stood ninth to the state in PUC II exam 2019.
- The school is well equipped with Physics, Chemistry, Biology,
Mathematics, Computer labs, a huge library with more than 80,000
books, Music room, classrooms with smart board, auditorium, staff
room, play ground with Basket Ball Court, RO Plant for drinking water.
- I am privileged to lead the school for the last two years & look forward
to 2020-2021 with optimism & enthusiasm. We have significant plans in
Scholastic and Co-Scholastic areas to make our school committed to
reach new summit in Academic Excellence.
- Many students have brought laurels to our school by participating
and winning National Level, State Level and Inter School Competitions
such as Drawing, Debate, Dance, Patriotic Song Yakshagana and in
Sports—Chess, Shooting, Skating, Cricket, Karate and many more.
- We have appointed a Special Educator who counsels and guides
students for overall development.
I am glad to read out Month wise activities, celebrations, Competitions,
and Programs conducted during this Academic Year
In the Month of June:
Environment Day was celebrated where students with green colour dress
were taken out for a nature walk, Placards were made by the students. Tree
Plantation was also done in the school Herbarium.
On International Yoga Day many Yogasanas were performed by students
and teachers.
Ramazan Celebration was done By Yellow House: Students performed
Qawalli and Quran recitation.
Special Assembly was conducted on World Day against Child Labour and
a skit on Eradication of Child Labour was played by students of class VII.
Father’s Day was celebrated by the tiny tots of Montessorri.
Student council was formed after campaigning by the candidates with their
logos and fair Election was conducted with Electronic Method. Investiture
Ceremony was conducted and Batches were pinned up to all the Ministers.
Miss Bhumi Bankapur was Elected as the President for the Academic
session 2019-2020.
Next July
On Doctor’s day Seminar on Health and Hygiene for Adolescence girls was
conducted by Gynecologist Dr. Pricilla. ENT Check up and Dental Check up
was done by Inner Wheel Rotary Club, Hubballi.
Students exhibited a skit to commemorate Kargil Victory Day on 26-07-
2019.
Students were made aware of the deadly disease Hepatitis on World
Hepatitis Day: Skit on eradication of Hepatitis was performed by the
students during the special assembly.
Poem writing Competition, Bio Sketch of Authors of Classic Literature, Story
Writing Competition were successfully conducted during English
Literature Week:
Our school hosted Cluster Level Sports Meet this academic year
wherein more than 22 Schools participated in various sports events like
Kabaddi, Volley Ball, Athletics and so on. Shri Mahesh Mutanalli, National
Level Volley Ball Player graced the occasion as a Chief Guest.
Next in August
House wise Notice Board Decoration Competition was conducted during
Social Science Week based on Themes: Quit India Movement, Salt
Satyagraha, Dandi March and Swaraj Movement. Mock Parliament and Visit
to Dharwad Regional Social Science Museum was done during this week.
Nagara Panchami was celebrated by students.
Independence Day was celebrated in grandeur by hoisting National flag
and singing patriotic songs.
Students were allowed to prepare handmade colourful Rakhis and they tied
rakhi to their classmates and celebrated Raksha bandhan.
National Sports Day of India was grandly celebrated and a Hockey stick
measuring 10 Feet was made by Art Teacher, Brijesh Sir on which the life
history of Dyanchand was inscripted. Shri M G Timmapur, Sports
Instructor, was the Chief Guest of the function. He addressed students and
inspired them to be healthy and sportive by taking part in Games and
Sports.
Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated by Green House: Skit on Lord
Krishna was played, Dahi Handi ceremony was enthusiastically done.
In the month of September
Teacher’s Day was celebrated on September 5 and various dances and
skits were performed by the students. Cooking Competition was conducted
for teachers. Theme was Traditional Taste of India.
House Wise Rangoli Competition based on Theme Beti Bhajao Beti Padhao,
Pariyavaran Bachao, Ekta me bal hai and Jal Jeevan Hai was conducted on
Hindi Diwas :
Next in October
Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti: was celebrated with
great patriotism and pious.
As a mark of Swach Bharat Campaign the school campus was cleaned by
the students and teachers. Favourite Bhajans of Gandhiji were sung
creating a devotional and patriotic atmosphere.
Diwali Celebration was done by Blue House: Laxmi Pooja was performed
and Students performed a skit on Ramayana and Bali Chakravarti and a
diwali dance. School was illuminated with lanterns and lamps.
Next in November
On Kannada Rajyotsava Students dressed as poets and Vachanagararus
and recited vachanas and elaborated its meaning.
On Children’s Day. Food Fest was conducted wherein students enjoyed
eating hygienic, nutritious and tasty food prepared by the teachers and
various Games were conducted by the teachers.
Annual Sports Meet was held on 21-11-2019: Individual and group
events such as Volley Ball, Throw Ball, Kabbadi, Relay and Atheletics, fun
games were conducted for all the students. Students participated actively,
enthusiastically with sporting spirit and won many prizes. Prize
Distribution was done on the same day.
On National Constitution Day: Special Assembly was conducted and PPT
presentation on Formation of Indian Constitution and its importance was
highlighted.
In the month of December:
Christmas Celebration was done by Red House. Christmas Tree was
decorated with gifts and stars. Children came dressed as Santa Clause and
distributed sweets. Students also performed a skit on Life of Jesus.
Many workshops were conducted for teachers and students for enhancing
and enriching teaching and learning skills.
Mathematics Workshop was conducted for both teachers and Students in
our excellent Mathematics Lab by Director of Smart Cerebrum Pvt Ltd,
Bengaluru, Shri Venkata Subba Rao and Shri Venu K R. Highlight of the
workshop was how to make mathematics easy and link with our daily life
and to make it an interesting subject.
Science Exhibition and Competition: Extravaganza was conducted on
21-12-2019. Students displayed working model like Solar cooker, Solar
Eclipse, Rain Water Harvesting, Yield without soil, Robot, Smoke Absorber
and many more concerned to Save environment and energy. Students were
divided into three categories:
Category 1. Sir M Vishweshwarayya (class 1 and 2)
Category 2. Sir C V Raman (class 3 to 5)
Category 3. Sir Srinivasa Ramanujan (class 6 to 7)
Result of Science Exhibition will be announced today followed by Prize
distribution.
Students were taken to field trips. Children of Class I, II, III and IV visited
Parle G Biscuit Factory. Class V students visited Paper Factory. Class VII
and VII were taken to Dharwad Regional Science Museum. Students of
Class VII also visited agricultural fields as a part of curriculum.
This year Solar Eclipse was viewed by teachers, students and management
members under the guidance of Vice President of South Asia Himalayan
Space Centre, Mr Veeresh M Patil using Solar Filter Glass.
All this was possible and accomplished with the exceptional support
extended by the School management, constant support of the parents, and
determined efforts of the teachers and hard efforts of everyone connected to
our Organization. I express my heart-felt gratitude to all of you for your
support, encouragement and ideas towards our goal.
